Okay, so I am working on this website. (http://direction-to-perfection.tator-tot.com), and I'm making it so that when I post my banners it's a small image, and then you click on a larger one. I'm doing this by making the smaller image in photoshop and linking it as a button.

Like this )

Now, when I look at the page (http://direction-to-perfection.tator-tot.com/portfolio.html), the images that are supposed to be under banners don't show at all. Not the small versions, not the big versions, nothing.

However, they do show up when I view the same html page through the file on my ftp.

I looked at the view source for the web page, and all the coding like the one above is gone. But it's there on the same page from the ftp.

My question is: Does anyone know why it's doing this?

The images for the icons are showing up, but that's through the use of a simple image tag (img src="").

Any ideas? I didn't know where else to turn. =\

Edit: The image won't show up here, either. But when I type in a direct link like: http://direction-to-perfection.tator-tot.com/images/thumbnail/t-32.gif I can see it. But not when I use the image tag?

Subject: One more question about div layers
Honest to God this is my last question about div layers then you won't hear from me anymore...

How do I prevent my div layers from moving when the entire page gets scrolled? In other words, I want them to be stationary and only scroll their content.

http://deadjournal.com/~cocoa_goddess/friends

The whole page scrolls and I don't want it to. (I'm probably going to have to make my FOB smaller).

I know it has something to do with the div layer code but I don't know if it's the width percent or the position (set on "absolute") or overflow (set on "no").

Help? o_0

Feeling: - Listening to: -
Hello again...

I know I posted a few days ago about div layers and I'm happy to announce I managed to get the one div layer I wanted in there but now...

1. the DJ Ad banner has gone MIA
2. I'd like to know how to put in a second div layer to the left of my other div layer for all my links and user info (you're only getting one div layer out of me and that was hard enough to do...lmao!)

Journal I'm referring to is a new one I'm doing for me...[info]cocoa_goddess

The style is public if anyone wants to take a crack at it.

Thanks.

I was wondering how I would go about getting my entries closer to my image map image on livejournal.
as you can see there is quite a big space, anyway I can make it closer?

body{
margin-top:-#px;
}

I tried that and it didn't work, and I also re-coded the image map but it still didn't work.

Is there a way to incorporate IFrames and stylesheets into my layout.

The reason I ask is because I'm starting a new journal and it has an IFrames layout and I don't know how to set it up.

Thank you.

I made my own little skull logo and have added it to user without any difficulty, but it won't work on my friends page with the altposter as that is not editable. Does anyone know if it's possible to get my cute little skull logo working with %%altposter%%, or whom I should ask?

Here it is: Grrr Arrgh!

Subject: Another question.
How do you order your div boxes?

I have a picture in a div layer which cuts over the top half of a div box. The div box shows over the picture but I want the picture to show over the div box. I've tried putting div id="table1" and div id="table2" etc but that doesn't make any difference.

Also still need help with the question below, if anyone can help.

Thank you very much :)

Subject: Resolutions.
I use a laptop with resolution 1024x768 and when I create layouts like here, they look all screwed up in other resolutions like 800x600 etc.

When creating a style, how can you make it viewable in all resolutions? Is there a way?

Subject: Link box
Feeling: hopeful Listening to: hopeful
Hi there, I was wondering if there's a way I can change what my skiplinks say? I changed my other links by just putting in the direct addresses, but because the actual address for previous or next entries is different on every page, I'm not sure what to put in place of %%skiplinks%% on my style (which is based off of Punquin Elegant fyi). If someone could help me with perhaps a code I can enter, or other way of editing the text there I would appreciate it!

Also - I am aware that when viewing my journal the links box appears somewhere around halfway down the page, on the left side. I am using a blank image above that box with a set height to place the table a certain amount farther down the page than my entries, however; I edited this according to my browser (Safari 1.0.3 for Macintosh) which shows the box beginning only about twice as far down as the entries box - maybe 3/4" from top of entries. However this only seems to be true of my one browser. I have viewed it on several different browsers, inluding Internet Explorer for both Macintosh and Windows, Netsape for both Macintosh and Windows, and Mozilla. All of them show my links box much farther down, but not at the same point on each browser. I have tried editing the heigh of the blank image, which only seems to move it the same amount as my browser. For example, I change image height to 5 pixels less, box moves 5 pixels up from middle of page.

If it is any help, the coding for this section of my journal is here )

Again, help of any sort will be greatly appreciated!

Subject: Putting banners above your journal
Okay, I know there is a tutorial on the code for putting banners above your journal, but I was wondering if anyone had one for the override box in the S2 customization, like the one you use when you don't create a style. Like, to get to it you go to Tombstone Layout to Change or to Grave Management to S2 Style System to Tweak Your Journal to Modify Journal. And yeah, if someone had a code for putting a banner above your entry in that, it'd be helpful, thanks.

Subject: User picture on Recent Events page
Hi, I am trying to customize my journal so that the event area (where my journal entry is) consists of a table with two columns. On the right I want the actual text and on the left I want my user picture (which will change for each entry). I know how to set up the table and everything, but what's that tag for my user picture? I've tried putting %%userpic%% but it doesn't work. Any help would be eternally appreciated. Thanks!!
