on condensed text, retardation, and linkage.
2 questions:

(one): is there any short method to condensing text without looking like an arsehole?
(two): hi, i?m retarded, is there a code that i can just pop into the basic overrides section that?ll make all links open up in a new window? i?m too lazy to do it the old-fashioned way...

follow this link to join [info]html_help and then write your posts here making sure to change your journal to post in from default to html_help. and it's that easy.

unless of course your question was rhetorical.. in the sense of "how, do you, as a person, post anything because you're so incredibly stupid," in which i'm insecure about these sorts of things, so ignore me.

(one): i'm not completely sure what you mean... ;/ so uh, clarification please? ;)

(two): not that i know of. there might be a way with css... maybe inserting a "a {target:new;}" into your style code, but i kinda doubt that would work, i've never tried it. easiest would just be making a new style and changing it in there. if you have stuff in your overrides, those will still work with the new style anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. :)

(one) condensed text? well, i'm curious if there is something i can apply to specific chunks of text which will reduce the space between characters without having to actually change my font.

(two) i was afraid of that. i despise fiddling with my style as its pretty unstylish at this point anyway. but thanks!
