hey, does anyone know about dropdown menus.. can they affect other frames, or do they have to be in the frame you want to affect

2. how can I make the text at the bottom of the page move?

hi. i'm new at creating styles etc,and i don't know what to put in the style edit page..like if you put the global head things and to make your cursor crosshair,i know that but what part of the code do you put in.sorry if i make no sense at all.

This community has vastly grown over the past few months, due to its use in the support area. We are now having quite a lot of posts. If you are familiar with HTML and can easily manipulate the coding, please feel free to help out here, or with the many customisation requests on the support board. We are always looking for new support volunteers in support, and, as the amount of users at DeadJournal increases, so do the amount of questions asked there.

Before you post in html_help, please read the DeadJournal FAQ, previous posts in the community, the community's memories and look through the many posts in howto (which deals specifically with DeadJournal customisation).

Please DO NOT use the email form on this community's main page for asking questions. f_it and I are now receiving emails asking for layout help. The 'Layout Problem' section on the form, is if you have spotted an error in the layout for html_help, not your own journal's layout. That said, layout requests will also be deleted from this community. We do not completely make layouts for anyone at DeadJournal (although I may make exceptions once in a while).

Also, please read the community rules on this community's userinfo page before posting. Any posts which breach the rules will be deleted without warning.

I just put a cool new background picture on my journal. and I want to use the Disjointed style, but I want to chanhge the font.I know that you have to merge the two codes together, but I don't know where to put what, and where to connect them and stuff.CAn anybody give me a code? I'm sure somebody else has done it. I'm so confused about it though.Thanks

Um .. why isn't my background picture coming up? I'd post the code I have but I am technologically impaired and don't know how to without getting it to come up all screwed up and in teletype. And how do I align my tables over to the left? *forgot*

Hey, can someone please help me apply this layout: to my journal, i need seperate scroll bars for the big box (my entries box) and one for my links box. I also need the links put in the links box. I can explain it better to anyone who is willing to help, ty. Also can you use gif files instead of jpg files for the background picture? I don't think you can but I just wanna make sure..
